Business energy contract renewals
The renewal letter is not an offer to be accepted quietly — it is an opening position. Most businesses that simply sign it never find out what else was available. Renewals are where the majority of avoidable energy cost sits.
Business energy renewals in detail
When to start
Between three and twelve months before your end date. Suppliers will price a future start date well in advance, which means you can lock in terms while the market is favourable rather than in the last fortnight when your options narrow.
Renewal reminders as standard
We record your contract end dates and contact you in good time before each one. This is a core part of the service, not an upsell. If you would rather we did not contact you, tell us and we will remove you from reminders immediately.
Staying with your current supplier
Renewing in place is often the right answer, particularly if the incumbent prices competitively to retain you. We will negotiate that renewal for you and show you what the rest of the market offered so you can see the comparison for yourself.
What you get
- End dates tracked so nothing rolls over unnoticed
- Market checked before you accept a renewal letter
- Renewal negotiated with your existing supplier where that wins
- Future-dated contracts arranged up to twelve months ahead
- Clear side-by-side comparison before you commit
Business energy renewals: your questions
My contract ends next month — is it too late?
No, but move quickly. There is usually still time to secure a contract that starts on your end date and avoids out-of-contract rates.
What are deemed and out-of-contract rates?
Deemed rates apply when you occupy a premises without an agreed contract. Out-of-contract rates apply when a contract ends and nothing replaces it. Both are set by the supplier and both are typically far more expensive than a negotiated term.
Do I have to give notice to my current supplier?
Most modern business contracts no longer require formal termination notice, but some older ones do. We check the terms of your existing contract as part of the renewal process.
